Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a transmittable respiratory disease caused by a newly detected coronavirus. People infected with the virus develop illness with common symptoms including fever, dry cough, tiredness.

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

The best way to curb the spread of the virus is to:

• Wash hands regularly and correctly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer.
• Practice social distancing.
• Cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue or flexed elbow.
• Use a mask.
• Avoid crowded places.
• Visit the hospital, if sick.
